Bollywood singer KK passed away on Tuesday 31 May. The sudden demise came as a shock to his fans and the Bollywood industry. While KK’s death is survived by his wife Jyothy and two children, Nakul Krishna Kunnath, and a daughter, Taamara Kunnath. The funeral ceremony started with celebrities across the music industry gathering to pay final respect to the late singer.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Salim Merchant, and Javed Ali among others were recently spotted at his residence. Javed also penned a tribute to KK on Instagram. He wrote: “Really saddened by the news of the sudden demise of my dear friend KK. May his soul Rest In Peace. Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.”
While a video of Hariharan has emerged on social media as he arrived at KK’s Mumbai residence in the Versova Park Plaza complex. In an Instagram post, Hariharan wrote: “Just can’t believe what I am hearing about KK, life is so unfair! He was such a sweet and genuine soul. It is a personal loss for me, and for the world a great musician. I pray that he is in a better place and may god give strength to his family. Om Shanti.”
KK’s mortal remains will have ‘antim darshan’ ceremony at 10.30 am and ‘antim yatra’ at 1 pm. The cremation will take place at Mumbai’s Versova cemetery. On KK’s sudden demise several renowned faces from the film, music, and cricket fraternity mourned his death. Apart from that, PM Modi also expressed his grief for the singer’s death.
