Writer, director, producer Karan Johar celebrates his 52nd birthday today. Since childhood, he has been crazy about watching movies. Gradually, his craze changed into a passion for films. After watching Sooraj Barjatya directed ‘Hum Aapke Hai Koun…!’ starring Salman Khan & Madhuri Dixit, Karan firmed his decision to be a filmmaker. He saw enormous success with his directorial debut ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and since then, Karan has directed many movies successfully.
It’s been a year; he hasn’t come up as a director. But finally KJo has finally announced his new venture as a director, seizing the perfect time of his birthday; Karan announced his new project through an Instagram post. He shared a photo where he dazzled in a white shirt, giving some stud expressions and holding a binded script. “Untitled narration draft, directed by Karan Johar, 25th May 2024,” has been written on that binded script. He captioned the picture, “Get… Set…. Go!”
The announcement has enlightened many. His last directed movie was Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, which grossed a fairly good amount at the box office. And prior to it, he directed ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. He was really nervous on the release day of Ranveer-Alia starrer ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ as he was making a comeback as a director after a huge gap. But now the film’s success has given him his confidence back, and he will soon meet his audience with his new untitled directorial venture.
As a producer, Dharma Productions’ ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’ is about to release next week on 31st May.
