Kajol’s ‘The Trial’ Co-Star, Noor Malabika Das Found Dead In Mumbai Flat

The police had suspicions that Noor Das was experiencing depression due to a lack of opportunities in films or web series.

Mumbai police reported that actor Noor Malabika Das, 37, was found dead in her Lokhandwala apartment on Friday in a suspected suicide. She appeared alongside Kajol in the 2023 legal drama The Trial, which streams on Disney+ Hotstar.

Das’s remains were found in an advanced state of decomposition after her neighbors detected a foul odor and notified the Oshiwara police. Law enforcement officials forcibly entered the apartment and transported the body to Siddharth Hospital. Although they recovered some pills and her phones from the residence, they confirmed the absence of a suicide note.

The police, who filed an accidental death report, stated that they forwarded her two phones to a forensic laboratory for unlocking. During the initial investigation, the police found no evidence of foul play and awaited a conclusive report from doctors regarding the cause of death.

According to the police, a few days prior to Das’s death, her parents, who had been residing with her, had departed for their hometown in Assam.

Prior to her acting career, Das served as an air hostess with Qatar Airways. Among the notable web series she appeared in are Siskiyaan, Backroad Hustle, and Dekhi-Undekhi.
