Here’s Why Ranbir Kapoor Refuses To Play Football With Wife Alia Bhatt

During The Launch Of His Team's New Jersey, The Actor Was Asked To Name One Person From Bollywood He Would Never Want To Play Football With

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is a diehard football fan and co-owns the football team Mumbai City FC. He is often seen playing football matches with his Bollywood friends. However, during the recent launch of his team’s New Jersey, the actor was asked to name one person from Bollywood he would never want to play football with.

Without any doubt and hesitation, the actor jokingly said he would avoid playing with his wife Alia. He explained, “If I beat her, I know I’ll be hearing about it for a long time, and she will really sulk with me. So I think I would rather avoid playing with her.”

During the interaction, Ranbir also shared that football played a significant role in shaping his identity during his youth. He recalled being “below average” at everything he did back in school. However, when he joined the school football team, he discovered a sense of identity and personality for himself. He emphasized that sports teach valuable life lessons. He fondly remembered that his name first appeared in the newspaper when he scored a goal for the inter-school football team from Bombay Scottish.

Ranbir and Alia tied the knot last year in an intimate wedding ceremony attended only by close friends and family. Now, the couple is proud parents of a baby girl named Raha.

On the work front, Ranbir, who was last seen in “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar,” is gearing up for his next project, “Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The movie is set to hit the theaters on December 1.
