Sachin Pilgaonkar is credited as a Megastar in the Marathi & Hindi Film Industry, who has starred in numerous blockbusters like Balika Badhu, Nadiya Ke Paar, Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se, Navra Mazha Navsacha, Aamhi Satpute & many more. The actor was honoured with the National Film Award – Best Child Artist category for his stellar performance in Haa Mazha Marg Eklaa (1962) & has also won several Filmfare Awards too. His dearest daughter, Shriya made her on screen debut with Ekulti Ek in 2013 & has featured in hit ventures like Fan, Kaadan, Mirzapur, The Broken News, Taaza Khabar & others.

On speaking about her debut film, Ekulti Ek, which was directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar, Shriya reveals that her father offered the same after watching her perform on stage, as the actress was inclined towards theatre & Kathak. Sachin added that he wanted Shriya to be a part of the movie as it revolved around a beautiful story of a father & daughter duo, which was in turn a big break for the Mirzapur actress as she loved the script & also got a chance to work under the guidance of her superstar dad and get a wonderful learning experience.

Praising her talented daughter (Shriya), Sachin shared about once offering Shriya with help to get an admission in her dream college St. Xavier’s – post completion of her 10th standard & revealed that she declined the same and promised her parents to get an admission by merit which she in turn fulfilled too.

While talking about her dad’s best films, Shriya expressed that she loved her father’s as a child artist when he was known as Master Sachin; to which the Nadiya Ke Paar star replied that he feels lucky & fortunate to portray his childhood in front of his daughter through cinema of retro age.
