Ameesha Patel Claims Her Jealous Contemporaries Could Not Handle Her Success “Snaching Films From Under My Nose”

Gadar 2 actress Ameesha Patel has opened up about how her contemporaries, who were from third-generation film families, could not handle her success.

Ameesha Patel, one of the most gifted actresses, made her Bollywood debut with Hrithik Roshan in 2000 with Rakesh Roshan’s megahit Kaho Na…Pyaar Hai. The actress is in the headlines for her shocking revelations about the dark side of the industry. Recently, Ameesha has opened up about how her contemporaries including Kareena Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan,Esha Deol, Tushar Kapoor, and others who were from third-generation film families, could not handle her success.

In conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha revealed that she was called a “snob” as she stayed away from bitching about others on the set. She said when she entered the film industry, she only had film actors kids or producers kids enter with her, it was Kareena Kapoor Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Esha Deol, Tushar Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan; you name it, you turn your head, and it was a third-generation film family person coming in. She was the outsider and this South Bombay girl was looked upon as a snob because she was an educated outsider. She was the one who didn’t bi*ch on sets; she didn’t gossip, so she was anyway called a snob because she used to choose to read.

The Gadar 2 actress revealed that her contemporaries could not handle her success after Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, Adar: Ek Prem Katha, and Pawan Kalyan’s Telugu film Badri. She said God was kind; he knew she didn’t have godfther so he gave her successful films; however, her contemporaries could not handle that. There was a lot of jealousy, snatching films from under your nose. 

Ameesha also revealed that a lot of times she was not informed and that she was being replaced by another actor.
