In response, a number of actors from Tamil Nadu and Kerala have joined the relief efforts. Notable contributions include Mammootty and his son Dulquer Salmaan, who each donated ₹25 lakhs. Similarly, Fahadh Faasil also contributed ₹25 lakhs. The well-known Kollywood family trio, Jyothika, Suriya and Karthi, collectively raised ₹50 lakhs. Adding to the generosity, Chiyaan Vikram donated ₹20 lakhs, while Rashmika Mandanna contributed ₹10 lakhs.
Many other South Indian cinema personalities have also stepped forward. Soori, Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, and Manju Warrier, among others, have publicly appealed for donations and offered their support. These actors have shown their commitment to helping beyond their on-screen roles, demonstrating their dedication to the well-being of those affected.
