The Hema Committee Report, which led to major actions against famous personalities like director Ranjith, actor Jayasurya, Siddique and more has inspired similar efforts in Tollywood. The Voice of Women, a group dedicated to supporting women in the Telugu Film Industry (TFI), has submitted its report to the Telangana government.
The report highlights issues of sexual harassment within the industry and seeks to create a safer working environment for women. Tollywood director Nandini Reddy shared this news on her social media, by praising the Women Of Cinema Collective (WCC) from Kerala for their efforts, which have set an example for Telugu cinema. She has urged the Telangana government to make the subcommittee report public to help shape policies that ensure safety for women in the industry.
Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu also shared this appeal on her Instagram story, drawing attention to the issue.
