On Thursday, a video from an event of the Telugu film, “Gangs Of Godavari” surfaced the internet. The video left fans and netizens in shock. The viral video featured famous South actor Nandamuri Balakrishna “pushing” actress Anjali on stage. As soon as the video went viral on social media, netizens and fans came out and slammed the actor for his unacceptable behavior. Apart from the netizens and public, several celebrities also came out and condemned the actor’s actions.
TV star Nakuul Mehta expressed his strong reaction to the viral video. Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Nakuul Mehta wrote, “Not one person expressed their discomfort. Not one. Ridiculous behaviour by the gent.”
Bollywood director Hansal Mehta also called out Nandamuri Balakrishna and wrote, “Who is this scumbag?”
Taking to X singer Chinmayi Sripaada also addressed the incident and wrote, “One of the biggest problems that I notice from people sharing this ‘Look at her laughing. She should have _____’ 1. It is NOT possible to respond according to your spectator response as you watch this on your device. This most moral policing, holier than thou – pure as driven snow – Harishchandra /Sri Ramachandramoorthy or their relative incarnates will fail to understand.”
She added, “2. Society itself refuses to hold men in power who misbehave responsible; Especially when they come from money, caste and political power. Don’t come and tell women what to say and how to behave when you have everything to gain and nothing to lose.”
