MaharajaBoxOffice: Vijay Sethupathi starrer Tamil revenge drama, “Maharaja” was released in the theatres on 14 June 2024. Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the Tamil film opened up to positive reviews and a strong opening at the box office. Now that the film has finished its first week in theaters, it’s time to determine whether the film is a box office success or failure.

Maharaja Box Office Collection Day 7
As per Sacnilk, Vijay Sethupathi’s Tamil film, Maharaja earned ₹ 4.7 Cr on its opening day. After its strong start, the film witnessed further growth during the weekend earning ₹ 7.75 Cr on Saturday and ₹ 9.4 Cr on Sunday. Following the successful weekend, the film passed the Monday test with flying colors.
Maharaja earned ₹ 6.3 Cr on its fourth day (Monday). However, the film witnessed a slight dip in the following weekdays. Maharaja earned ₹ 4 Cr on Tuesday, ₹ 3.35 Cr on Wednesday, and ₹ 2.70 Cr on Thursday. With this, the first-week collection of the Tamil film Maharaja now stands at a total of ₹ 38.20 Cr.
Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja Hit Or Flop?
Reportedly, Vijay Sethupathi’s Tamil film, Maharaja has been made on an estimated budget of approx. ₹20 crore. Considering the same, Maharaja has already recovered the budget and production costs of the film. Within just one week the film has crossed the 38cr mark and is expected to cross the 40cr mark very soon. Maharaja has also managed to beat Kartik Aaryan’s “Chandu Champion”. With everything considered, Maharaja can easily be tagged as a box office “HIT”.
