TurboBoxOffice: Directed by Vysakh, the highly anticipated Malayalam action-comedy film, “Turbo,” hit theaters on May 23, 2024. It received a mix of positive and average reviews upon its release but managed to secure a strong opening at the box office. Now that the film has finished its first week in theaters, it’s time to determine whether the film is a box office success or failure.
Turbo Box Office Collection Day 7
According to Sacnilk, Mammootty’s Malayalam film Turbo opened strongly with ₹6.25 Cr, becoming one of the biggest Malayalam openers of 2024. It dropped to ₹3.7 Cr on Friday but showed slight growth over the weekend, earning ₹4.05 Cr on Saturday and ₹4.65 Cr on Sunday. However, after witnessing growth over the weekend, the film witnessed a sharp decline in numbers during the weekdays, starting from Monday.
Turbo earned ₹ 2.3 Cr, the film dropped even further earning ₹ 1.85 Cr on Tuesday, and ₹ 1.50 Cr on Wednesday. The Malayalam film now stands at a domestic collection of approx. ₹ 24.00 Cr. Meanwhile, the film has already crossed the ₹ 35 Cr mark globally.
Mammootty’s Turbo Hit Or Flop?
Turbo has already registered itself as one of the biggest Malayalam openers of 2024. Although the film registered a decline during the weekdays, it, however, has managed to earn a solid box office collection through just one week surpassing the 25cr mark domestically and 35 cr mark globally. If all goes well, the film can soon surpass its budget which is approx. 60-70 cr. Considering all, the film can be labeled as a box office “hit”.
