Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil: Starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, Malayalam film “Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil,” hit theaters on May 16. Directed by Vipin Das the Malayalam film opened up to positive reviews from moviegoers and the public and took a strong start at the box office leaving behind many recently released Bollywood films. As per Sacnilk.com, the film earned a total ₹ 3.65 Cr on its opening day. After registering a solid opening the film witnessed further growth on its second day at the box office. According to the portal, the Malayalam film starring Prithviraj Sukumaran earned ₹ 4.00 Cr on its second day (Friday) at the box office.

The Malayalam film is expected to see further growth during the upcoming weekend (Saturday-Sunday). Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’s opening day collection is higher than the recently released Bollywood film, “Srikanth” and Tamil film “Star”. However, the film still failed to beat Prithviraj Sukumrana’s recent film “Aadujeevitham” which earned Rs 7Cr on its opening day.
