Kolkata Knight Riders Announce Relief Packages For Cities Hit By Cyclone Amphan

Kolkata Knight Riders’ co-owner Shah Rukh Khan has announced relief packages for those areas and cities adversely hit by cyclone Amphan. Read below to know more.

Given numerous attempts to curb the situation, the Coronavirus pandemic has already gripped India under its clutches. In the midst of all this, Cyclone Amphan hit some parts of the country a couple of days ago while taking a toll on numerous lives as well as livelihood. Shah Rukh Khan has now come up with a relief package that will be given in those places adversely affected by the cyclone. This piece of news has been confirmed on social media too. 

Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders took on their official Twitter handle to announce the relief packages. They tweeted, “The people of #Kolkata and #WestBengal have embraced #KKR and extended their love and unconditional support over the years. This is a small effort on our part to provide some relief to those affected.” 

According to the reports, King Khan has extended his support to four areas namely Kolkata, East Medinipur and North & South 24 Parganas.

A couple of days back, Shah Rukh Khan had offered prayers for all those people in Bengal and Odisha who had been devastated because of cyclone Amphan. Apart from that SRK, has also made donations to PM-CARES Fund to help those fighting the COVID-19 crises. He also offered his 4-storey office building to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to convert it into a quarantine facility.

Shah Rukh Khan also participated in the #IForIndia fundraising concert consisting of many big names in the entertainment industry. He has also been very active on social media spreading awareness about the on-going pandemic and urging people to stay indoors.
