Soon after its theatrical release the film opened up to extremely positive reviews and a strong opening at the box office. Now that the film has almost finished its first week in theaters, it’s time to determine whether the film is a box office success or failure.

As per Sacnilk.com, the Tamil action thriller, Garudan registered a solid opening at the box office worth, ₹ 3.5 Cr. The film witnessed huge growth during the weekend earning ₹ 4.85 Cr on Saturday and ₹ 6.25 Cr on Sunday. However, after the impressive growth during the weekend, the film witnessed a massive drop during the weekdays.
Seeing a huge drop the Tamil film earned ₹ 2.75 Cr on Monday, ₹ 2.35 Cr on Tuesday, and approx. ₹ 1.89 Cr on Wednesday. Made on an estimated budget of approx. Rs 20Cr, the Tamil film now stands at a domestic total of approx. ₹ 21.68 Cr. With this, the film has already recovered its production cost at the box office and is expected to see further growth during the upcoming weekend.
Garudan Hit Or Flop?
“Garudan” had a strong opening at ₹3.5 Cr, with substantial weekend growth reaching ₹6.25 Cr on Sunday. Despite weekday drops, it’s already surpassed its ₹20 Cr budget, standing at ₹21.68 Cr domestically. With further potential, the film can be considered a box office “hit”.
