Akshay Kumar’s career graph has only seen an upward trend in his 28-year long acting career. And the secret to his success is hard work. Akshay has always admitted that he works for money and that’s the reason he has never said no to any work. Akshay does 4 to 5 films a year and has left the Khans far behind in the Box-Office race.
However, the actor rejected some good projects that came his way and those films became a huge success. Let’s take a look:
1- Bhaag Milkha Bhaag:
It was Khiladi Akshay Kumar who was first offered Milkha Singh’s biopic ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. He rejected the offer as he was not satisfied with the script. The role went to Farhan Akhtar and the rest is history. The film was a commercial success and gained positive reviews from critics and the audience.
2- Baazigar:
Baazigar was one of those films that made Shah Rukh Khan’s career. However, you will be shocked to know that SRK wasn’t the first choice. The role was first offered to Salman Khan who rejected it. It then went to Akshay Kumar who too rejected it because he believed that playing a negative role would spoil his image.
3- Race:
The film was first offered to Akshay Kumar who rejected it for some unknown reasons. The offer then went to Saif Ali Khan’s kitty and it became one of the best films of his Bollywood career.
4- Do you recall the popular item song ‘Character Dheela Hai’ from Salman Khan’s film Ready. Well, the song was initially to be picturised in Akshay’s 2010 film Khatta Meetha. However, he refused to add the song into his film and it was then included in ‘Ready’.
