Choreographer Nishchal Sharma has been a part of the entertainment industry for the last 8 years. He has worked as an assistant choreographer on films like ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, ‘Ok Jaanu’, ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’, ‘The Zoya Factor’ and ‘Namaste England’. Nishchal also mentors the participants of the popular reality show ‘Dance Deewane 3’ that airs on Colors TV channel.
Talking about his association with Dance Deewane, Nishchal said, “I am working on the show as a choreographer since season 1. And now, this show feels like home.”
Nishchal has worked back stage and has choreographed A-listers like late Irrfan Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Anushka Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh. But he recently challenged himself and decided to perform on the stage of Dance Deewane 3. Recently, we saw him performing with young contestant Aman and they together garnered a lot of appreciation from the judges and the audience.
When we asked about his experience of performing in front of dancing sensation Madhuri Dixit, Nishchal said, “I have choreographed Madhuri Ma’am on several occasions like any events or openings. So, I have been her choreographer many times. But even she didn’t know that I was gonna perform on stage. She was surprised to see me and asked me to do it more often so that the audience recognize and enjoy my talent. Madhuri Ma’am has this signature on show, it is a whistle that is hard to get from her. But she whistled for me that day. So, it was a big achievement for me. And she is gorgeous. She is the most beautiful lady I have ever seen in my life.”
“I have been on the show for three seasons but I never clicked a picture with her. So, this time, I went up to her and told her, “Ma’am it took me 3 years to ask for a picture with you.’ She was like, ‘You are mad. You should have come a long time ago. But I am happy that you have earned it by performing so well.’ So, that’s how I got a picture with her,” he further added.
Nishchal has now decided to perform on stage more often. In this weekend’s episode of Dance Deewane 3, he was to perform with his mentee Somansh. But due to liver infection, he got hospitalised and his team member Hardik had to replace him.
