Singer Armaan Malik has clarified that he is not associated with the Bigg Boss contestant who shares his name. The confusion stems from another Armaan Malik, a YouTuber featured on Bigg Boss OTT3, known for his affluent lifestyle and personal life details including his two wives, Payal and Kritika. Recently, he made headlines for an incident where he slapped co-contestant Vishal Pandey after Vishal made controversial remarks about his second wife, Kritika.
Meanwhile, singer-composer Armaan Malik has turned to X (formerly Twitter) to caution fans about the confusion. He expressed his frustration over being consistently tagged in posts related to the Bigg Boss contestant, stressing that he has no connection with the YouTuber.
“Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to overlook an issue for a while now, but it seems to be getting out of hand at this point and I have to address it. A YouTube creator, earlier known as Sandeep, later changed his name to Armaan Malik and is currently on Bigg Boss OTT Season 3. This is causing a lot of confusion, with many people mistakenly tagging me and assuming we are the same person.
He added, “I want to be very clear: I have NO connection to this individual and do not endorse him or his lifestyle in any way. This situation is hampering my reputation and is turning out to be misleading to so many people who have supported me over the years. While I can’t stop someone from changing their name and taking up the same as mine, I do request my own community to help me overcome this. Please stop tagging me in posts about anything related to him. Thank you for your understanding and support.” singer wrote.
Reacting to singer Armaan Malik’s post, music composer Ricky Kej wrote, “I agree @ArmaanMalik22, this is an issue. A few days back, when I was searching for a song of yours, the other guy’s stuff came up. And then I see that this Armaan is married multiple times, etc… and was wondering WTF.. lol.. I feel there needs to be an effort to distance this guy.”
Meanwhile, Content creator Armaan Malik, who is married to both Payal and Kritika Malik, joined Bigg Boss OTT 3 with both wives, but Payal has since been evicted from the show. Armaan is now facing backlash on social media for slapping fellow contestant Vishal Pandey.
