Zayn Malik Regrets Not Enjoying Time With His Band One Direction: The Main Thing That I Always Feel Bad About…

Founded by Simon Cowell on the UK's X Factor in 2010, the band declared their breakup a year after Malik left.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, star singer Zayn Malik revealed that he regrets not spending more time cherishing his moments with the English-Irish pop boy band One Direction, which was founded in London in 2010.

At the Zach Sang Show, Zayn expressed, “The main thing that I always feel bad about like when I look back over my life is not enjoying the bond enough, I feel like I just took things too seriously and I’m grateful that I’m able to be happier now and actually enjoy things and own my own perspective a bit, that’s my choice, I get to decide what that is. So if I frame everything in a negative manner I’m not going to gain no satisfaction from it but if I move with happiness I can gain so much more and I can have a good time and enjoy my life.”

“I think that’s one thing that I’m really grateful for now that I didn’t understand the importance of when I was younger. I didn’t understand the importance of just trying to be happy. I had this teen thing going on with a chip on my shoulder where I’m like it’s really cool to just be moody all the time. It’s not like you’re just a loser, you should be a nice person, you should be somebody that people want to be around and enjoy being in your presence and you should bring light to people’s day instead of being this negative cloud of energy,” Malik added.

When Zayn Malik left the British boy band One Direction in 2015, it shocked the world and hurt a lot of people. The band, which consisted of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson, was founded by Simon Cowell on the UK’s X Factor in 2010. The group declared their breakup a year after Malik left.
