However we all saw that in season 1, things don’t exactly pan out the way Devi thought it would which results in her ruffling lots of feathers and also a showdown with her two bestfriends Fabiola and Eleanor and also her family, just for this new life that she really wanted to live.

As we all can see and decipher from the trailer of the forthcoming season two, Devi is seen all set for making a big decision which will soon be unfolded in the season 2 which is going to be about the fact that out of Paxton and Ben, who she should date or maybe even dating both at same time and as she reveals its true that this her one and only chance of having a proper American high school boyfriend before she and her family move to India which was like a bomb dropped by her mother at the end of season one.

While we see her deciding about same, we also would be seeing her getting a good and intense competition from a new Indian girl who starts at Sherman Oaks High and more importantly here, this season two will also likely see Devi confront her grief about the death of her father which was a huge part of the first season, where we saw her real fight and struggle in coming to terms with her grief and pain of losing her father and then we saw how she later distracted herself with all the drama she could possibly get into.

In an earlier interview last year with a leading digital portal, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan told, “I would love to see Devi love herself. I think that’s an important message that not just high school teenage girls could learn. Just the idea of loving yourself is something I think a lot of people need to hear. I don’t think we do that enough. I don’t think we value ourselves as much as we should”.

On the same, she also continued, “People tend to take care of other people, but they tend to neglect their own emotions, their own well-being, their own mental health. Devi’s a prime example of that. She only just started at the end of the series to confront her grief for her father. We can’t go to season 2 and pretend Devi’s all better now. That doesn’t make sense. That’s not how it works”.

Second season of Never Have I Ever this time will have a star cast of the original cast reprising their roles which include Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Jaren Lewison, Darren Barnett, Lee Rodriguez, Ramona Young and Poorna Jagannathan and some new additions as well which include Megan Suri, who will make her debut as new girl Aneesa in this season followed by Devi’s mum Nalini who is going to get herself a new love interest in the form of the incredibly attractive rapper/actor Common who will be seen essaying the character of Dr. Chris Jackson, a rival dermatologist.

Fans and netizens would be pleased to hear that Never Have I Ever season 2 will be dropping at Netflix on 15 July.
