At the 2023 Critics' Choice Awards, Brendan Fraser bagged the best actor trophy for his "The Whale" performance

Yesterday, the Critics’ Choice Awards made a special day for many people. Many celebrities were awarded critics’ choice awards for their outstanding performances in drama and movies.

Brendan Fraser is known for his comic roles in George of the Jungle and his highest-grossing movies Mummy 1, 2, and 3. Since then the actor has not been seen in many Hollywood movies but yesterday was the night dedicated to the actor. At the 2023 Critics’ Choice Awards, he bagged the best actor trophy for his “The Whale” performance; was up for tough competition, with Austin Butler in “Elvis,” Tom Cruise in “Top Gun: Maverick,” Paul Mescal in “Aftersun,” Colin Farrell in “The Banshees of Inisherin,” and Bill Nighy in “Living.”

Fraser accepted his award on Sunday evening and presented an emotional speech with the words “I’m impressed that you woke up for me”, referring to those who have seen “The Whale”. “This movie ‘The Whale’, it’s about love, it’s about redemption and it’s about finding the light in a dark place,” he added, close to tears. The actor thanked all his co-stars, including Sadie Sink, Hong Chau, and Ty Simpkins, as well as director Darren Aronofsky, whom he generously honored for his role.

“If you a Guy like Charlie that I played in this movie kind of struggles with obesity, or you just feel like you’re in a dark sea, I want you to know that when you, Also, maybe you have the strength to just get up and go to the light, okay Things will happen.” He concluded with his emotional speech.

Jennifer Coolidge is officially the Golden Globe winner. Jennifer Coolidge added the Critics award to her collection. On Sunday, the 61-year-old star was named Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Tanya McQuoid in “The White Lotus”.

Like the legend she is, Coolidge used his acceptance speech to say a few words of encouragement to everyone who “lost hope” He told the crowd, “I hope that gives you that Inspiration. Christina Applegate

Christina Applegate made her first appearance after the awards ceremony and shares his multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2021. Actor and ‘Death To Me’ star performed with her at the 2023 Critics’ Choice Awards Daughter, Sadie Grace LeNoble, wears a black dress and carries a cane. The noble posed alongside her mum in a matching dress and offered support for Applegate, which is nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

Before the show, Applegate opened up to her Twitter followers about her mixed emotions. “So this Sunday will be the first awards show I have been to since 2019. And the first since MS,” she wrote on Jan. 13. “NERVOUS! But grateful to the @CriticsChoice for including me.”

Applegate announced her MS diagnosis in August 2021, writing on Twitter, “It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition.” She added, “It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. Unless some assh*le blocks it.” She came to the awards proving that nothing can stop her not even a disease.
