The little minions are back to entertain the audience with its fourth-installment from their much famous ‘Despicable Me’ film series. ‘Despicable Me 4’ is set to hit theatres on 3rd July 2024, produced by Illumination and distributed by Universal Pictures is receiving all rave reviews from the audience and critics alike.
Ahead of the release, this American animated comedy film is set to create history by becoming the second-highest grossing Independence Day film ever and aiming at $120 million+ weekend opening collection in America.
As per Hollywood Reporter, ‘Despicable Me 4’ to open at $28 million box-office collection following a three day, friday-sunday debut weekend of $70 million collection, breaking the records of its previous installments.
An initial part ‘Despicable Me’ which released on 9th July 2010 erupted theatres with $56 million on its opening day, continuing with ‘Despicable Me 2’ released on 3rd July 2013 debuted at $24.5 million and the part 3 movie titled ‘Despicable Me 3’ came out on 30th June 2017 grossed $29.2 million.
‘Despicable Me 4’ is set to take place of the second-highest grossing Independence Day film ever and leaves behind Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) which opened at $25.7 million and the highest grossing July-film Transformers (2007) still ignites at the top.

The fourth installment will be seen with extra loaded entertainment, as Gru, Lucy, Margo, Edith, Agnes welcomes a new member named Gru Jr. who is intent on tormenting his dad.
