Honey Singh Says Shah Rukh Khan Didn’t Like Lungi Dance; More Shocking Revelations About Bollywood

Yo Yo Honey revealed he has always had trouble making music videos in Bollywood and also revealed SRK didn't like the Lungi Dance song.

Chennai Express remains Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s biggest hit film of all time. There are many reasons for the film’s success, and one of the contributions was the “Lungi Dance” song, for which all credit goes to Yo Yo Honey Singh. The song was a tribute to Rajnikanth, and it contributed significantly to the film’s pre-release buzz. However, SRK was not happy with the song, and it is really shocking to hear.

Speaking with ETimes, Honey revealed that he has always had trouble making music videos in Bollywood and also revealed Khan initially didn’t like the song. The rapper said, “I have always had trouble making music for Bollywood. When Shah Rukh bhai called me to make a song for Chennai Express, he told me to make something like ‘Angreji Beat’. I asked him why, so he said because that song was a huge hit. I told him that I won’t make a song like that but will create a number which has his vibe. I made Lungi Dance and he did not like it. He took three weeks to decide whether he wants the song or not.”

On the professional front of SRK: following Pathaan, he will appear in Atlee’s Jawan. He is now in the city filming for the picture. Nayanthara, Sunil Grover, and Sanya Malhotra all have significant parts in the movie. In addition to this, he has Dunki, a film by Rajkumar Hirani with Taapsee Pannu. The movie will debut around Christmas 2023. As these will be SRK’s debut projects with Atlee and Hirani, fans are eager to see him in both movies.
