Big Boss fame Shehnaaz Gill is on a signing spree. Even before making her big Bollywood debut, the actor-singer has signed another Hindi movie. Shehnaaz is starred in Salman Khan’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali for her first film. The renowned Punjabi Singer is reported to sign Rhea Kapoor’s upcoming production venture.
The film will allegedly star Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar. The untitled film by Rhea Kapoor will be directed by her husband Karan Boolani. Reportedly, the storyline will follow a modern take on relationships and miss Gill will be seen in a different look.
According to sources, for a long time, Shehnaaz has been in touch with the team and the deal materialized recently. The singer of popular Punjabi songs is excited to join the team. With the cast being finalized, the crew will start filming soon mostly by end of July.
If the reports are to be believed Shehnaaz will be seen alongside Jug Jug Jeeyo’s actor Anil Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar who is gearing up for the upcoming release Raksha Bandhan with Akshay Kumar. Fans are excited to see the trio together on screen.
A source close to the development mentioned: “Like Rhea’s previous film Veere Di Wedding (2018), her upcoming movie is also a women-oriented subject. Shehnaaz is the latest to join the cast of the film, which is slated to go on floors by the end of this month. This film will see Shehnaaz in a different avatar.”
On the work front, Shehnaaz was last seen in a Punjabi film titled Honsla Rakh opposite Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa. She gained fame among Hindi audience from Big Boss 13. In the show, Shehnaaz Gill and late actor Sidharth Shukla were attached in strings.
Post her success in Punjab and on Television, she is set to make big in Bollywood as well. She is now awaiting the release of her debut film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali along with Big Boss host Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde.
Apart from movies, Shehnaaz also made her ramp debut in the first edition of Ahmedabad Times Fashion Week. She graced the ramp in a bridal look which left everyone spellbound. Shehnaaz looked stunning as she turned bride for Delhi-based designer Samant Chauhan.
