The trailer of the much-anticipated film Prithviraj was released on Monday, May 9. The historical epic war action drama film marks the debut of Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar who will be seen in the role of Princess Sanyogita.
During the Prithviraj trailer launch event on May 9, the lead actress Manushi Chhillar shared her experience of making her debut with a mega-budget film like Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar opposite her. The actress said, “There are very less opportunities to make a debut with a film like Prithviraj and for me its a very special debut, though the pressure was also there since I have never acted before but I think the kind of team I got was very helpful, Akshay sir has been around for a longer time, He’s very experienced, Adi sir, he is very senior producer, Dr sir, I think his research and how clear he was in his head then, Rani Sanyogita was like that, that was his interpretation of her, so that really helped me. Before this, I was a student, so I have a very student mindset like going to college, learning what teachers told me, and then giving exams. So somewhere, that experience has helped me quite a lot here because I have trained for 9 months and I practiced the script, acting, and what the character needed and because the directors had a clear mindset of how they wanted Rani Sanyogita, so for me it was more about replicating that. So I think that the project was huge and I could not say more about it before this I wasn’t very sure that I would become an actor but after I knew that there was an opportunity that I could audition for something like Prithviraj then there was no looking back and I think I got the perfect team.
Prithviraj will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on June 3 worldwide. Produced by Yash Raj Films, Prithviraj is being directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi who directed the biggest television epic Chanakya, based on the life and times of the most influential political strategist of India and the multiple award-winning Pinjar.
