Singer-composer Vishal Dadlani has extended assistance to the CISF constable accused of slapping actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport on June 6. Vishal posted a message on his Instagram story, expressing solidarity with the CISF constable.
As Kangana Ranaut approached the boarding area after undergoing security checks, she purportedly received a slap from CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur at the frisking zone. Afterward, Vishal Dadlani posted, expressing his intention to secure employment for the CISF constable if any repercussions arose from the incident.
Taking to his Instagram stories he wrote, “I do not ever support violence, but I absolutely understand the need of this @official_cisf personnel’s anger. If any action is taken against her by the CISF, I will ensure that she has a job waiting for her should she choose to accept it. Jai Hind. Jai Jawaan. Jai Kisaan (sic),”
However, the singer’s statement sparked extreme outrage among the netizens who slammed the singer for spreading “hatred” and promoting violence. A netizen wrote, “He doesn’t support violence BUT he supports THIS violence. Logic went into depression.” One user wrote, “They are the one who promotes such violence, I hope next time he gets one in public”.
Another user commented, “Well I’ve never supported kangana ranaut, but still I think physical violence should not be accepted.. And special when you’re in a defence. You person ideology should not come between your duty”.
Meanwhile, following the incident, CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur was reportedly detained. According to reports, Ranaut lodged a complaint with CISF officials upon her arrival at the Indira Gandhi airport, leading to Kaur’s subsequent suspension.
