However, their announcement was quickly overshadowed by rumors alleging that Naga Chaitanya had been unfaithful to his ex-wife, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, during their marriage, which purportedly contributed to their divorce.
In the midst of the cheating allegations, many netizens began to explore and revisit past rumors about Chaitanya’s family relationships. Reddit users uncovered and shared that Naga Chaitanya’s father, Nagarjuna, was previously rumored to have had an affair with Bollywood actress Tabu, while he was still married.

For those who may not know, Nagarjuna was previously married to Lakshmi and they have a son, actor Naga Chaitanya, born on November 23, 1986. The couple divorced in 1990. Nagarjuna later married actress Amala on June 11, 1992, and they have a son, actor Akhil, born on April 8, 1994.
Nagarjuna’s Rumored Affair With Tabu
Nagarjuna and Tabu were rumored to be in a relationship for about a decade. Tabu eventually moved on when she realized Nagarjuna wouldn’t leave his wife. On Koffee With Karan, Tabu dismissed the rumors as persistent but old, clarifying that her move to Hyderabad was for personal reasons, not related to Nagarjuna. She also described him as one of her closest friends.
