Munjya Box Office Collection Day 10: Film Crosses 50Cr Mark, Competes With Chandu Champion & Maharaja

MunjyaBoxOffice: Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the much-awaited Bollywood comedy horror film, Munjya was finally released in the theatres on 7 June. Starring Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma the film opened up to positive reviews from the public and critics. Apart from the good reviews, the film has also been performing significantly well at the box office. In just 10 days Munjya has successfully crossed the 50cr mark at the domestic box office.

As per Sacnilk, Sharvari Wagh, and Abhay Verma starrer Bollywood horror comedy film, “Munjya” earned a decent ₹ 3.75 Cr on its first day. The film earned 15Cr through its first weekend. Munjya grossed a total ₹ 35.3 Cr through its first week at the box office.

Showing no signs of slowing down, Munjya earned another 15Cr through its second weekend at the box office. The film earned ₹ 6.5 Cr last Saturday and ₹ 8.5 Cr on Sunday. Munjya now stands at a domestic box office total of approx. ₹ 53 Cr.

Munjya has already surpassed its production budget which is reportedly around Rs 30 Crores. Munjya has also given tough competition to recently released films like “Chandu Champion” and “Maharaja”.

“Munjya” draws inspiration from Marathi folklore, narrating the tale of the legendary creature from Indian beliefs and cultural traditions. “Munjya” narrates the tale of a spirit set free by a boy, which subsequently troubles the local women. Now, the community must find a way to return the spirit to its place of origin.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, “Munjya” was released in the theatres on 7 June 2024. The film stars Sharvari, Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, and Sathyaraj.
