According to the report, back in 2016, Sushant Singh Rajput showed a strong interest in Petkar’s narrative, finding it profoundly inspiring. The actor was fascinated by Petkar’s unwavering passion and resilience in pursuing his aspirations, and he was enthusiastic about portraying this remarkable story on screen.

The highly anticipated trailer of ‘Chandu Champion’ was recently unveiled by the makers. The trailer depicts Kartik Aaryan as Chandu, who awakens from a coma in 1967 following a war injury. It chronicles his emotional voyage, wherein he aspires to become a wrestler despite facing ridicule from classmates who taunt him with ‘Chandu Champion’ remarks. The trailer showcases his relentless struggle to conquer obstacles and shed the association with that name.

The Bollywood film is all set to hit the theatres on June 14, 2024.
