Kareena-Ayushmann In Meghna Gulzar’s Film
Meghna Gulzar, a renowned Bollywood director known for her innovative onscreen pairings and compelling narratives, is set to introduce a fresh pairing in her upcoming film ‘Daayra’. According to Filmfare reports, Kareena Kapoor Khan and seasoned actor Ayushmann Khurrana will share the screen together for the first time in this highly anticipated drama. Both actors have eagerly signed on to Meghna Gulzar’s project and are excited about their roles in the film.
Meghna Gulzar is well-known for directing films based on real-life events. Reports suggest that her upcoming movie ‘Daayra’ will also delve into the incident of the Hyderabad rape case that occurred on November 27, 2019. The incident involved four men accused of raping a 26-year-old veterinary doctor near Hyderabad’s Shamshabad area in November 2019.
Subsequently, they were apprehended and later shot dead by the Hyderabad police during a supposed reconstruction of the crime scene. In 2022, the Supreme Court ruled that the encounter had been staged.
On The Work Front
On the work front, Ayushmann will next be seen in an action comedy film alongside Sara Ali Khan. On the other hand, Kareena will be next seen in Singham Again and Buckingham Murders.
