National Award-winner director Pradeep Sarkar passed away yesterday; directed many commercials, music videos, and some of the most memorable films such as Parineeta and Mardaani. Both Bollywood and the television industry mourn the filmmaker. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut also expressed her sadness on Twitter.
Yesterday, Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter to express her sadness at the loss of filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar, writing an emotional note while reminiscing about the last meal she had with him. Sharing a video about eating Bengali food, the actress wrote: “The last meal I had with Pradeep Dada he knew I love Bengali food in Mumbai… My heart sinks and I will not take this shocking news can…My heart sinks and I will not be able to take this shocking news…”
Last year in October Kangana said- “I’m a huge fan of Pradeep Sarkar ji and I’m really excited about this opportunity. His last directorial film was Helicopter Eela starring Kajol, which was released in 2018. He was also reportedly collaborating with Kangana Ranaut for the upcoming project Noti Binodini. The filmmaker has also directed several web series and his latest project was Zee5’s Duranga in 2022 starring Drashti Dhami and Gulshan Deviah.

The filmmaker dies at the age of 67. Many Bollywood and TV stars attended Pradeep Sarkar’s last rites yesterday at the filmmaker’s residence in Mumbai. The entertainment industry mourns the director.
