Kabir Khan’s upcoming venture 83’ has already created a lot of buzz amongst the audience. The moviegoers can’t wait to re-live the historic moment when team India lifted the Cricket World Cup for the first time in 1983.
To grab more attention of the audience Ranveer Singh took on his Instagram handle to post another poster of the movie 83’. In this poster Ranveer Singh introduced Chirag Patil, this young actor is going to essay the role of former iconic cricketer Sandeep Patil. The surprising fact about this news is that Chirag Patil is actually the son of Sanjay Patil. Indeed this is the beauty of the film world, you never get to know who will play whom next. Definitely, it will be heartwarming to watch a son live the life of his father in the reel world.

The movie 83’ will also feature Deepika Padukone as Ranveer’s on-screen wife. To confirm this news, Deepika shared a few pictures on her Instagram. Caption for it was, “& on to the next…Thank you @kabirkhankk for this incredible honour…! #RomiDev #Day1 @83thefilm @ranveersingh.”
This will be for the first time that Ranveer and Deepika will share the screen space after their marriage.
With Ranveer Singh essaying the role of Kapil Dev, many other actors will form his on-screen Indian cricket team of the 80s. Boman Irani, Saqib Salim, Jatin Sarna, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin are just amongst the few who will play a pivotal role in this film.
83’ the movie is slated to release on 10 April 2020.
