The teaser of Pathaan was released yesterday on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday. It took the internet by storm. People have been eagerly waiting just to see a glimpse of the movie. Fans created hype and buzz around the film. So far the film has gained global attention with every update, be it the title or the first look of the characters.
Well, many loved the clip of the action film, while others criticized it. In a minute-long glimpse of the movie, Shah Rukh is seen performing some high-octane action stunts with a bloodied look. Deepika plays the female lead while John Abraham is seen in biker avatar firing guns as he plays the antagonist.
Netizens trolled the VFX of Pathaan comparing it to Saaho starring Prabhas. The internet is not much impressed with a few scenes that were seen in the recently released teaser. While many praise Shah Rukh Khan’s look, some are unhappy with the visual effects.
There is a scene where SRK is flying in a fancy jetpack, but he seemed blurry looking weird, and unfinished look. Netizens were quick to compare it with a similar seen in Parbhas’ 2018 film Saaho. People called the latter scene better than this.
A Reddit user shared the same shot from both movies on his post, and wrote in the title, “This was embarrassing. Compared to 4 year older Saaho.” A comment on the post read, “Why did they have to include this. It will get memed and might ruin its hype. Beast also got trolled for this type of s**t. Such an unnecessary sequence. Somebody tell them modern warfare doesn’t mean people flying on Jetpack.”
Another user wrote, “NGL, Pathan teaser looked like a crowd-funded B grade Action movie from Hollywood.” Another comment read, “Vfx is embarrassing.” People took over Twitter as well criticizing Pathaan’s visual effects.
The four-year-old movie Saaho was trending on Twitter with more than 15K tweets. Someone tweeted, “After watching this #PathaanTeaser my respect on #saaho increased by 100000 times.” Another tweet read, “Credits style towards the end also seemed copied from #Saaho Anything which is not copied in #PathaanTeaser? Highly disappointed!! Why Why Why??”
Pathaan is a spy universe action film directed by Siddharth Anand. Headlined by Shah Rukh Khan the film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Bankrolled by Aditya Chopra the film is produced under the banners of Yash Raj Films. Pathan will take up to theaters during Republic day next year on 25th January 2023.
