Hungama Girl Rimi Sen Has Taken Legal Action Against Land Rover, Seeking Damages of Rs 50 Crore

Rimi Sen's Land Rover Dispute: In 2020, Rimi Sen acquired a high-end vehicle from the Land Rover brand. However, she encountered numerous issues with the car right from the start. This led to several difficulties for her. Currently, Rimi Sen is taking legal action against the Land Rover brand, demanding compensation of Rs 50 crore.

Rimi Sen has been out of the limelight in Bollywood for a while. She’s known for movies such as ‘Hungama’, ‘Golmaal’, ‘Bagban’, ‘Dhoom’, and ‘Phir Hera Pheri’. However, she’s back in the news, not for her acting, but due to a legal matter. She’s filed a lawsuit against the high-end car brand Land Rover, seeking a payout of Rs 50 crore.

The actress sought reimbursement as she received a defective vehicle. This led to numerous difficulties and disruptions for her. She acquired the car in the year 2020. A report from NDTV states that Rimi Sen purchased this high-end vehicle for Rs 92 lakh from a dealer authorized by Jaguar Land Rover. The vehicle came with a warranty until January 2023, despite the car being underutilized due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown.

Rimi Sen identified numerous issues with the vehicle.

She was distressed by an event that occurred on August 25, 2022, involving a collision with a pillar, attributed to a malfunctioning rear-end camera. The actress reported these problems to the dealership, but her concerns were not fully addressed. The actor stated that the dealership requested evidence of the issues before proceeding with repairs, resulting in several fixes that caused additional issues with the car.

Rimi Sen is seeking compensation for a faulty vehicle

Rimi Sen claims that after beginning to use the car frequently, she encountered numerous malfunctions, such as problems with the sunroof, audio system, and rear-view camera. In her legal complaint, Sen asserts that the car is defective, both in its production and the servicing it received from the dealership. She states that the car was taken in for repairs over a dozen times, yet the issues continued, leading to significant distress and hassle.

Rimi Sen is asking for Rs 50 crore as compensation for the issues. Additionally, she is seeking Rs 10 lakh for legal fees. Sen is requesting a new vehicle to replace the damaged one.
