Hamare Baarah Box Office Collection Day 3: Film Falls Flat, Barely Crosses 35 Lakh

After a registering a "poor opening", Annu Kapoor's controversial film, "Hamaare Baarah" witnessed no growth at the box office over the weekend.

After a prolonged delay, Kamal Chandra’s Bollywood drama “Hamare Baarah” finally hit theaters on June 21, 2024. Despite earlier controversies and a legal hold-up, the film debuted to lukewarm reviews from critics and audiences alike. Regrettably, it had a lackluster opening at the box office and showed minimal weekend growth, barely surpassing the 35 Lakh mark in earnings.

As per Sacnilk, Annu Kapoor starrer, “Hamare Baarah” earned ₹ 0.04 Cr (4 lakh) on its opening day. Seeing no significant growth, the film earned ₹ 0.1 Cr (10 Lakh) on Saturday and ₹ 0.13 Cr (13 lakh) on Sunday in the Hindi version. The film collected a total ₹ 0.27 Cr (27 Lakh) at the box office through the Hindi version and approx. ₹ 0.36 Cr (36 Lakh) domestically throughout India.

Hamare Baarah Storyline

“Hamare Baarah” narrates the story of Manzoor Ali Khan Sanjari, who, after losing his first wife in childbirth, continues to have more children with his second wife, now expecting their sixth child. When doctors warn that the pregnancy endangers her life, Khan refuses to consider an abortion. His daughter Alfiya, determined to save her stepmother, takes her father to court to seek a mandate for an abortion. The film delves into Alfiya’s struggle to persuade her father and the court while challenging the deep-rooted patriarchy in their society.

Hamare Baarah Cast

Hamare Baarah stars Annu Kapoor, Rahul Bagga, Manoj Joshi, Ashwini Kalsekar, Parth Samthaan, Shaan Saxena, Aditi Bhatpahri, Paritosh Tripathi, Ishlin Prasad, and Harish Chhabra. The movie was initially slated for release on June 7 and then on June 14. However, after repeated delays, the film was finally released in theatres on 21 June.
