Since moving to India nine years ago, Nora Fatehi has become one of the biggest sensations in the entertainment industry. She is an actress, model, dancer, singer, and producer who is known for her work in Indian films is enjoying her massive fan following on social media. From a background dancer to a celebrated actor, she is an inspiration for many. On this special occasion, as the actress celebrates her 31st birthday, let us return to Nora’s journey and learn about her unknown facts that not everyone is aware of.

1) Nora Fatehi taught herself to dance: 

Everyone is a fan of Nora’s enviable moves, which are 100% self-taught. As a kid, she used to lock herself in a room and get help from YouTube. 

She liked belly dancing but wanted to take it to another level, so she started watching professional dancers. She used to watch videos, rewind them, stop, and rewind them with the help of a mirror to learn how to move.

2) Making a hookah for hookah cafes

After Nora’s parents divorced, she became the primary guardian of her brother. Unexpectedly finding herself as the chief income producer of the family, she spent her first few years in as many jobs as she could, working in telemarketing, waitressing, customer service, and bartending, at one point, she even worked at a hookah cafe making hookahs. But after four years, she realized that she could not burn her dreams. She tells her brother and friends that she is going to India to become an actress. 

3) Nora was duped out of 20 lakhs:

When Nora first moved to India to complete her dream after taking up a modelling contract, she found the transition hard. Not only did the modelling agency trick her out of $20,000 that she had earned from ads. Her passport was stolen by one of the girls she was flat sharing with at the time, forcing her to flee to Canada.

4) Her parent’s dislike of her career choice:  

Growing up, her parents disagreed with her dream of acting and dancing, which encouraged her to lay aside her ambitions and concentrate on her studies. Her father warned her not to even think about it again. But she kept her desires hidden from her family, and she continued to fulfil them by seizing any opportunity she could.

5) She is a reality TV queen, but she is bullied for her accent: 

Nora Fatehi was part of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 9 but unfortunately, she didn’t manage to win the crown and was evicted on day 84. She was also a contestant on the reality dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.But, during the early days of her career, she tried hard to master Hindi, but her efforts clearly went unrecognized. Nora was bullied by the people in the industry, and at one point they even told her to go back to Canada. People bullied her accent, they laughed in front of her face as if she were some circus act. Because of this behavior, she used to cry while travelling back to her home. 

However, despite all the bad things she has faced in her life, she is never going to see them again. Really, her life struggle is an inspiration for us.
