‘War 2’, one of the most-anticipated films in Indian cinema, brings together Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan and Tollywood’s Jr NTR in a thrilling action-drama. This sequel to the 2019 hit ‘War’ is set to elevate the excitement as the two superstars share the screen for the first time. Recently, there’s been a buzz surrounding the upcoming film. While the shooting for ‘War 2’ continues, Jr NTR has been absent from the sets as he is busy with promotional activities for his next film, ‘Devara: Part 1’. This action-packed film is scheduled for release on September 27, 2024. Jr NTR was recently in Mumbai for the trailer launch and other promotional events. However, the latest update is that the ‘War 2’ shoot is currently taking place in Italy.
Directed by Ayan Mukherji of ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Brahmastra’ fame, ‘War 2’ is part of the Yash Raj Films Spy Universe. According to reports, Kiara Advani and Hrithik Roshan will soon film a grand dance number in Italy. The song, composed by Pritam, will feature picturesque locations such as Venice, Tuscany, Lake Como, and the Amalfi Coast. The shoot for this romantic track is set to begin on September 18, and it will take six days to complete.
The film’s Italy schedule will last 15 days in total. ‘War 2’ will see Hrithik reprising his role as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, while Jr NTR will make his Hindi debut, playing the antagonist. The film is slated for release on August 15, 2025, and will continue the storyline after the events of ‘Tiger 3,’ where Hrithik made a cameo appearance in a post-credits scene.
