Dhadak 2 Announcement: Tripti Dimri & Siddhant Chaturvedi Unite For An Impossible Love Story

Karan Johar, along with Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures, have announced 'Dhadak 2' starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri.

Dhadak ‘s commercial success has led the film to make its sequel and the makers have finally announced the sequel of this movie. With Karan Johar and other crew members’ successful backing, the team has launched the announcement teaser for the movie ‘Dhadak 2’. Shazia Iqbal directed this movie and cast Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the lead roles.

The teaser features a line, “Ek tha Raja, ek thi Rani, Jaat alag thi, khatam kahaani.”. This sentence is written on a wall in red, which is a metaphor of blood. There are many slogans, sentences written on the wall about racism, love and related to our society, like ‘Educate agitate organize’, ‘Dalit lives matter’, ‘Lovers are here to disturb the peace’, ‘Revolution’ and many others. The teaser highlights each sentence separately, and then it focuses on an image of a couple holding each other, who are obviously Tripti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Their background voice in the teaser depicts the impossible love story, “Jo sapna tum dekh rahi ho na Vidi, usame mere liye koi jagah nahi hai. Toh phir yeh bhi bata do Neelesh, ki inn feelings ka kya karu main (There is no place for me in the dream you are seeing, Vidi. Then tell me what I should do with my feelings, Neelesh)?” Tripti is playing the role of Vidisha and Siddhant is portraying Neelesh.

Dhadak, released in 2018, launched two talented actors into the industry. It was the debut film of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. Dhadak 2 is bringing a very fresh duo on screen for the first time. As per the announcement teaser, the story resembles Dhadak’s story but definitely there will be many interesting angles to the movie. It will hit the theatres on November 22nd 2024.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal gave tremendous popularity to Tripti Dimri. She will next be seen in ‘Bad Newz’ alongside Vicky Kaushal. Siddhant Chaturvedi was last seen in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’.
