De De Pyaar De 2: Shooting Begins For Ajay Devgn-Rakul Preet Singh’s Film

Ajay Devgn is teaming up once again with director Luv Ranjan and producer Bhushan Kumar for the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 blockbuster film ‘De De Pyaar De’. Titled ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, the movie is slated for release next year. Filming officially commenced today with a Muhurat ceremony in Mumbai on Monday, June 3, marked by a traditional Puja ceremony, and attended by Anil Kapoor.

Anil Kapoor not only attended the event but also initiated the shooting of the film by performing the first clap. Additionally, he extended his best wishes to the entire film crew. Prior to this, actress Rakul Preet Singh shared her excitement on Instagram Stories, posting a picture of her script with the caption, ‘Returning to my favorite set, De De Pyaar De 2 begins.’

Previously R. Madhavan and Ajay Devgn collaborated for “Shaitaan”, the duo is set to entertain the audience once again in ‘De De Pyaar De 2’. According to reports, Madhavan will portray a significant character in the film. The makers aim to introduce a fresh twist to the storyline in the sequel by incorporating a new character, and Madhavan has been chosen for the role.

Directed by Anshul Sharma, ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series, along with Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg of Luv Films. Rakul Preet has been officially announced as part of the cast, leaving the question of Tabu’s return in the sequel unanswered. The eagerly anticipated film is scheduled for theatrical release on May 1, 2025.
