Magicpin, launched a new ad, mocking the ongoing controversy of Ranveer Allahabadia and Samay Raina for their show 'India's Got Latent'.

Ranveer Allahabadia Controversy: As a latest controversy on standup comedian Samay Raina’s show has unfolded, different opinions and statements from multiple personalities have come across. From renowned celebrities to highly acclaimed politicians, everyone has showed disgrace when youtuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia’s “indecent” remark, associated with parents went viral. While he passed out the statement in the moment of fun, it failed to sit well with the audience. The controversy has come across so bad that an F.I.R has been filed against Ranveer aka ‘beerbiceps’ and the show host- Samay Raina for promoting obscenity, and distasteful comments publicly. Taking utmost advantage of the controversy, India’s third largest food delivery app, Magicpin took a jibe at the show.

Magicpin Takes A Dig At Samay Raina’s Show

Magicpin, launched a new ad, in the name of billboards that mocked out the “lost comedy” culture from the comedy shows these days. As people continue to be outrageous in the Ranveer Allahabadia controversy, billboards by the app showed a graphic visual of the panel of the show, who are sinking into the latest controversy(Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Makheja, Ashish Chanchlani, Samay Raina, and Ranveer Allahabadia).

The text at the top read, “India’s Lost Talent” mocking the “India’s Got Latent” title of the show. Below the title, the text read, Comedy ki limit honi chahiye par discounts ki nahi”. Not only this, Magicpin sharing the image on X, wrote, “Can we get back the magic in comedy?” along with hashtags for “standup comedy” and “India.”

Netizens have reacted to this, stating that this is the humor that is needed at present. A user commented as a response on X, “”Comedians need this type of humour!”. As the post garnered attention, a different user read, “Need of the hour”, while a third individual wrote, “This was epic”.
