On June 14, the highly anticipated Bollywood and South Indian films “Chandu Champion” and “Maharaja” were released, setting the stage for a box office clash. Adding to the competition, the previously released Bollywood film “Munjya” continues to perform strongly. Currently, all three films are in a close race at the box office, each vying for the top spot in earnings. Here’s a breakdown of their earnings so far.

Starring Kartik Aaryan, Kabir Khan’s film, Chandu Champion earned ₹ 4.75 Cr on its opening day. Seeing massive growth, the film earned approx. 16.75cr through the weekend (Saturday-Sunday). Passing the Monday test the film earned ₹ 5.00 Cr on its 4th day. However, the film witnessed a slight drop on Tuesday earning ₹ 3.25 Cr. Chandu Champion currently stands at a domestic box office total of approx. ₹ 29.75 Cr, according to Sacnilk.

Maharaja Box Office Collection Day 5

Released alongside Chandu Champion, Vijay Sethupathi starrer Tamil film, “Maharaja” earned ₹ 4.7 Cr on its opening day. The film earned ₹ 16.79 Cr through the weekend (Saturday-Sunday). Passing the Monday test with great numbers Maharaja earned ₹ 6.3 Cr on its 4th day. However, the film witnessed a massive drop on Tuesday earning ₹ 3.50 Cr. Maharaja now stands at a domestic box office total of approx. ₹ 31.65 Cr, according to Sacnilk.

Munjya Box Office Collection Day 12

Released on 7 June, Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma starrer Munjya earned ₹ 4 Cr on its opening day. The film ended its first week at the box office with a total collection of approx. ₹ 35.3 Cr. Keeping the momentum Munjya earned ₹ 15 Cr through its second weekend (Saturday-Sunday) at the box office. The film earned ₹ 5.25 Cr on its second Monday and ₹ 3.40 Cr on its second Tuesday. Munjya now stands at a domestic box office total of approx. ₹ 62.45 Cr, according to Sacnilk.

“Maharaja” is currently leading the box office, outpacing “Chandu Champion”. However, both films are facing stiff competition from the Sharvari Wagh starrer “Munjya”.
