Bollywood actress Tabu has secured a recurring role in the Max prequel series Dune: Prophecy. According to Variety, Tabu will portray the character Sister Francesca. The release date for the series has not yet been announced by the production team.
Tabu Bags A Big Role In Hollywood Series “Dune: Prophecy”
Tabu’s character, Sister Francesca, is depicted as “strong, intelligent, and alluring, Sister Francesca leaves a lasting impression in her wake. Once a great love of the Emperor, her return to the palace strains the balance of power in the capital”. Originally commissioned in 2019 under the title Dune: The Sisterhood, the series is undergoing development.

Joining the cast of Dune: Prophecy are Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Johdi May, Travis Fimmel, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Mark Strong, Chloe Lea, Josh Heuston, Jade Anouka, Edward Davis, Faoileann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds, Shalom Brune-Franklin, and Chris Mason.
Executive produced by Anna Foerster, who also directed several episodes including the premiere, and with Alison Schapker as showrunner and executive producer. Diane Ademu-John co-developed the series and is an executive producer.

Meanwhile, Tabu is currently enjoying the success of ‘Crew’, where she stars alongside Kareena Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. The movie revolves around three air hostesses, portrayed by Tabu, Kareena, and Kriti, facing an uncertain future as their airline, Kohinoor, faces bankruptcy. However, their fate takes a twist when they discover a deceased passenger smuggling gold biscuits. She will next be seen alongside Ajay Devgn in “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha“.
