In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Bhagyashree expressed that people often believe that celebrities have a team of people who handle their chores. However, the actress emphasized that this is not the case, stating, “The biggest misconception is that people working in Bollywood are not down-to-earth. We constantly need to prove ourselves. When you see a social media post featuring someone cooking or cleaning, people immediately assume ‘they must not be doing all of that, they have so many people at home.’ The reality is, the house is ours, so we need to clean it. We also eat food, so we can cook it. We are just like everyone else. It becomes a real issue when people become impolite and insensitive,” she remarked.
Nimrat Kaur, who was also present during the interview with Bhagyashree, shared her own experience. She mentioned that when she started her modeling career, she was frequently told she had a ‘modern face,’ and that doing traditional roles would not be feasible for her. However, her breakthrough came with “The Lunchbox,” proving that perceptions can change over time, as she told the Hindi daily.
In a previous interview with Hindustan Times, Bhagyashree discussed how the film industry was perceived in the past. She said, “When I was entering the film industry, there was a prevailing belief that ‘films are a very bad world, and no one from a good family would be allowed to enter the film industry.’ This stereotype existed even 30 years ago. However, things have evolved over time. Now, you can view it as you would any other workplace. Women are involved in every aspect, from set designing to makeup. I would say it still remains an industry.”
Bhagyashree and Nimrat are set to appear together in “Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video,” a film that also features Radhika Madan in a leading role. The movie, produced by Maddock Films, is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 27 and also stars Subodh Bhave.
