Drishyam 2 and Varun Dhawan are two movies that have brought audiences back to theaters. Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 2 was released on 18th November while Varun Dhawan And Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya hit big screens on 25th November. It has been two weeks since the suspense drama was released yet it is soaring high at the box office. On the other horror comedy is also performing decently.
The remake of the Malayalam series Drishyam 2 has crossed the 200 crore mark at the box office. Meanwhile, Dinesh Vijan’s flick has reached the 30 crore mark. Moreover, important to note is that the bad phase of Bollywood seems to be gone as audiences are flocking to theaters for Drishyam 2 and Bhediya.
Amid the competition at the box office between the two films the lead cast appreciate each other. Varun Dhawan and Ajay Devgn have congratulated each other for their movies performing well at the box office. Tweeting about his movie Varun said kind works for Drishyam 2. Replying to the actor’s sweet gesture Ajay Devgn celebrated the moment as a proud industry person.
Varun wrote, “#bhediya has given me so much love it feels amazing to see Soo many people coming to the theatres. A special Sunday as #Dhrishyam2 and #Bhediya give a lot of happiness to all cinema lovers congratulations @ajaydevgn sir and @AbhishekPathakk.”
In the response, Ajay Devgn wrote, “Hey @Varun_dvn I’m happy Bhediya & Drishyam 2 have managed to bring the audiences back to the theatres. It’s a feel good moment for us as an Industry. You’re a rockstar,” ended the tweet with twinkling star emoji.
Drishyam 2 is a sequel to 2015’s much-celebrated movie Drishyam. Both films are remake of the Malayalam film of the same name. Drishyam series is a tale of a middle-class man who goes to an extent to mask a crime committed by his daughter for self-defense. Helmed by Abhishek Pathak, the suspense thriller is produced under the banners of Panorama Studios.
Bhediya is the third part of Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy cinematic universe after Stree and Roohi. Helmed by Amar Kaushik the film is produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films banner. Varun Dhawan played the role of a werewolf while Kriti Sanon is seen as a doctor. Bhediya is howling high in theaters from 25th November 2022.
