Amid Backlash, Ajay Devgn’s VFX Studio Denies Working On Adipurush

NY VFXWaala is a leading VFX Studio incorporated by Bollywood Superstar, Mr Ajay Devgn. It has worked on the VFX of some hit films like Padmaavat, Tanhaji, Baahubali 2 and Dangal.

Om Raut’s film “Adipurush” has been making buzz ever since it was announced a few years ago. Fans were eagerly waiting to see their favourite actor Prabhas as Lord Rama while collaborating with Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon for the first time. Adipurush teaser was launched during a grand event on 2 October in Ayodhya. However, the teaser turned out to be a big disappointment. Even Prabhas’s fandom couldn’t save it from online criticism. From Saif Ali Khan’s “Islamic” getup to “cartoonish” VFX, the teaser has failed to impress on several parameters.

Amid the backlash and criticism, Ajay Devgn’s VFX Studio has denied working on Adipurush. NY VFXWaala is a leading VFX Studio incorporated by Bollywood Superstar, Mr Ajay Devgn along with leading Indian VFX experts, Naveen Paul and Prasad Vasant Sutar in 2015. It has worked on the VFX of some hit films like Padmaavat, Tanhaji, Baahubali 2, Dangal, and Bajirao Mastani amongst others.

As the teaser of Adipurush was released, NY VFXWaala came into the radar of the audience and media. The leading VFX Studio, however, put out a clarification that they have not and are not working on the VFX of Adipurush.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the note which reads, “Leading VFX Studio, NY VFXWaala has clarified that they have not worked/are not working on the CG/special effects of Adipurush. An official note on their behalf clarified, ‘we are putting this on record because we have been asked by a few media people.”

Recently, Ajay Devgn’s company did the VFX of Mani Ratnam’s period drama “Ponniyin Selvan 1.”

Talking about Adipurush, it is a mythological film based on Ramayana. We’ll see Prabas as “Raghav”, Kriti Sanon as “Janki” and Saif Ali Khan as “Raavan”. The film is slated to release on January 12, 2023, in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
