Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma is one of India’s most-loved comedy sitcom. Streaming on Sab TV since last 16 years, the show has garnered attention from the fans since Day 1. However, as the characters in the show started drifting apart, several controversies in the show made headlines on the internet. First, Disha Vakani aka Daya Ben left the show, then Roshan Singh fame actress Jenifer Mistry, followed by Shailesh Lodha and Palak Sindhwani. Several actresses upon leaving the show put allegations on the show producer Asit Kumar Modi for mentally and physically torturing them. These allegations were highlighted and supported by instances and facts by actresses who shared their experiences at TMKOC.

But, recently at an event, the producer has given out his response on the accusations made with his name. After Palak Sindhwani, Jenifer Mistry, Shailesh Lodha and Navina aka Bawri accused him publicly, infront of several media outlets, Asit Kumar Modi in a recent event – Be With Beti By ITA Anu Ranjan, interacted with the media about the numerous controversies that have highlighted his name as the main focus.
The producer said, “I have continued to take the entire cast along with me for 16 long years, so I will always be grateful to them, now if they something ill after leaving the show, they have the right to do so.” He also added that after exiting the show, the accusers are always free to make claims and allegations. “I know how I work. Let them say whatever they want to and I will continue to make people laugh with my positive show”, Asit added.
While these responses from Asit Kumar Modi does not seem to be giving a clarity, but this diplomatic answer is his first-ever response after Palak Sindhwani accused him of torturing her made headlines.
