Pamela Chopra, wife of late filmmaker Yash Chopra, passed away at the age of 74. She took her last breath on Thursday in Mumbai. Pamela was the mother of Aditya Chopra and actor Uday Chopra. Her funeral was conducted this morning.

The official handle of Yash Raj Films confirmed the news on social media. They posted a note that reads, “With heavy hearts, the Chopra family would like to inform that Pamela Chopra, 74, passed away this morning. Her cremation took place at 11 am in Mumbai. We are grateful for your prayers and the family would like to request for privacy in this deep moment of sadness and reflection.”
Pamela was the mother-in-law of actress Rani Mukerji.
Actor Ajay Devgn expressed his grief and offered condolences on Twitter. He wrote, “My thoughts & prayers are with Adi, Rani, Uday and all members of the Chopra family in their hour of grief. RIP respected Pam Chopra Ji. Om Shanti.”
Pamela was a playback singer and film writer. She was born in 1948. Pamela and Yash Chopra got married in 1970. Their marriage was arranged by their families.
