Bollywood actress Yami Gautam got hitched to Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) fame noted film maker Aditya Dhar on 4th June which saw only the presence of their closest and immediate family members and they informed all their friends through a social media post. In an interview with leading digital entertainment portal, their wedding planner Gitesh Sharma shared details of how exactly were all their wedding ceremonies planned that took place in Yami’s farmhouse at Himachal Pradesh in Mandi and also revealed how he prepared everything just within a day.
Talking to the leading entertainment tabloid about same, he said that he had been contacted by Yami Gautam’s father just one day before their wedding only and also shared that Yami’s family brought their own family priest for the wedding rituals and about all this, he said, “Yami’s father contacted us a day before their wedding ceremonies [sangeet and mehndi] began. The Gautams brought their own family pandit [priest] from Bilaspur or Hamirpur for the rituals”.
Also opening up on how Yami and Aditya clearly didn’t want a larger than life wedding filled with glamour which is why they had a small and intimate outdoor wedding wherein Yam and Aditya wanted all ceremonies to happen in a natural and traditional way and sharing details on same, he said, “Instead, they wanted the ceremonies to be conducted in a natural and traditional way, as it happens in their hometowns. They got married in front of a deodhar tree. The mandap was decorated with marigold flowers and banana leaves, with a gold-and-white theme running across the décor. After the wedding, there was a small reception in the evening with family members. The mehndi was held in the courtyard”.
Yami and Aditya Dhar’s wedding was followed by a traditional lunch of Mandi Dham. Since the wedding, the actress has been constantly sharing pictures and giving her fans and followers on social media especially instagram a sneak peek into their low key destination wedding with only family members and then later also posted pictures from other wedding ceremonies including Sangeet and Mehendi.
