Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is currently riding the success of his film, Animal. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal was a huge box-office success. Meanwhile, now a video featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Konkona Sen, and Ayan Mukerji is going viral on social media. In the viral video, the three were seen shooting for some project and apparently many are guessing that the trio is coming back for the remake of their 2009 popular film, Wake Up Sid.
In the viral video, Ranbir Kapoor was seen dressed in a blue shirt and cream trousers meanwhile Konkona Sen was seen wearing a kurta and jeans pair just exactly like her Wake Up Sid character Aisha. While this could be an “advertisement”, many netizens have claimed that are expecting the “Wake Up Sid” duo to collaborate again for a remake.
Expressing their desire for the collaboration a user wrote, “It would be nice to see a sequel to Wake up sid 15 years later..Could explore so many topics”.
Another user wrote, “Omggggg I wouldn’t mind a Wake Up Sid Part 2!!! I have always mentioned here how I loved ranbir-Konkona’s chemistry in the movie. So subtle yet real. Eye-lock moments, small gestures, old school romance uff. Kjo, Ranbir, Konkona, Ayan, if you guys frequent this sub, please please please make this happen (without adding any gen z elements pls, keep the vibe as is).”
Meanwhile, Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Wake Up Sid was released back in 2009. The film featured Ranbir Kapoor as a young teenager named Sid who doesn’t have a goal. However, things change when he meets Aisha (Konkona Sen). Apart from them the film also featured Anupam Kher as Sid’s father.
