Vikram Prabhu & Aishwarya Lekshmi join the cast of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan

Mani Ratnam on announcing his ambitious project, Ponniyin Selvan, has some exciting news for fans every other day. Recently it is reported that Aishwarya Lekshmi and Vikram Prabhu have been roped in for this film.

Mani Ratnam dream project Ponniyin Selvan is making headlines every other day. The film is currently in the news as the movie will feature an ensemble of star cast including Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Lal, and Trisha. It is now said that actors Vikram Prabhu and Aishwarya Lekshmi will also be seen joining the cast.

As actors Radhakrishnan Parthiban, Keerthy Suresh and Anushka Shetty walked out of the film due to various reasons, a source reportedly told a leading daily, “Aishwarya Lekshmi will play one of the female leads. Vikram Prabhu, Ashwin Kakumanu and Kishore are also part of the movie. R Sarath Kumar, Prabhu and Jayaram will be seen in important roles.” But nothing is official as of yet.

As of now, it is confirmed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen in the film and the former Miss World will be seen playing a dual role. At a media interaction, Aishwarya confirmed that she was a part of the film, whereas Lal took to his Instagram page and announced the news.

In regards to the technical team of the film, Ravi Varman will be handling the cinematography, whereas the production designing will be done by Thotta Tharani and Wasiq Khan, also Brinda is confirmed to be the choreographer and Jayamohan is confirmed to be the dialogue writer for Mani Ratnam and Kumaravel’s screenplay. The film went on floors this week while reports also claim that the movie will be released in two parts.
