Usha Nadkarni REACTS To Sushant Singh Rajput’s Suicide News

Usha Nadkarni and Sushant Singh Rajput worked together in the serial Pavitra Rishta before the late actor ventured into Bollywood. Read below to know more.

The whole of the entertainment industry was left in utter shock when they heard about the sudden demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. The Kedarnath actor committed suicide at his residence in Bandra and his body was found on June 14. The film and television fraternity is currently mourning the untimely death of a rising star to such an unfortunate event.

Meanwhile, Sushant’s Pavitra Rishta co-star, Usha Nadkarni also was deeply saddened after hearing the news. She said that the news made her numb and she was shivering. Speaking of Sushant’s death, Usha Nadkarni said, “Sushant was a quiet boy. We had worked together for almost two and a half years on the show ‘Pavitra Rishta’. It was a good experience playing the role of his ‘aai’ ( mother).”

Nadkarni further added that when her hairdresser contacted her yesterday and shared the news of Sushant’s demise, she couldn’t believe it. She actually thought it was a hoax. Her immediate reaction was, “Sushant aatmahatya kashi karu shakto (why would Sushant commit suicide)?” But then the news spread like a wildfire and turned out to be true.

Usha shared, “My whole body started shaking as read the news of his death. I just had tears rolling down my eyes. I was numb for a moment. May his soul Rest in peace.”

She also mentioned that she wasn’t in touch with Sushant after he left the show. Usha said that he then entered into Bollywood and became a big and successful person. She said, “His life was different and I never tried to bother him by contacting him. He was a shy, quiet and calm person. He used to quietly sit on the sets and would always go out of his way to make others comfortable.”

Usha also added that Sushant was a person who minded his own business. He was a good boy and she will always remember him.
